PRE-ADMISSION TESTING SERVICES
PAT Services partners with hospitals to provide reliable, high quality, and cost efficient perioperative services. We collaborate with our client hospitals to develop a pre-surgical program that reduces the cost, increases the value, and is customized to meet their unique needs.
Our clients rely on us to provide Staffing/Management solutions and Billing/Collections expertise which together delivers a comprehensive solution that streamlines the perioperative process.
Staffing & Management Solutions
We report directly to the current management of the department and provide assurance that the department will be properly staffed with qualified and experienced professionals. We handle all recruiting for any new staff, whether that be Physicians, Advanced Practice Nurses, or other extenders, and work with our clients to select the best fit. We provide complete management of that staff, including their schedule, vacation and sick time coverage, payroll, and any day to day issues that may surface. If a client wants to retain any or all of the current staff, PAT Services can assume management of that staff or maintain the current employment arrangement with the hospital.
Billing & Collections Expertise
Physicians, Advanced Practice Nurses, and other extenders receive specialized coding and documentation training to maximize reimbursement. Our staff meets with each of them individually to assure they are coding and documenting correctly. We then institute a quarterly auditing program to review ongoing coding and documentation. We have a full staff of sixteen individuals, including certified coders, that only handle hospital based billing. We electronically submit all claims and use electronic remittance to drastically shorten the billing cycle.

The Society for Perioperative Assessment and Quality Improvement was formed in 2006 as a non-profit, international organization, with a goal of bringing together a variety of professionals in various disciplines to work together on all facets influencing optimal surgical outcomes. These elements include proper preoperative assessment and evaluation; optimization of pre-surgical status, appropriate and efficient resource use; integration of proper planning for postoperative pain management and appropriate use of alternative and complementary medicine techniques. We share best practices, promote research, and provide a pathway for communication.
