PHYSICIAN SCHEDULING OPTIONS

PSI offers flexible scheduling options to physicians that work with us. House physicians can choose the days and times that they are scheduled.

Physicians working through us full time make an annual commitment to work at least 48 hours a week. Most of our house staff programs are scheduled in 12-hour shifts. That gives the physician the option to work four 12-hour shifts or two 24-hour shifts. Part time Physicians can generally work as much or as little as they choose, based on availability.

We prepare our physician schedules on a monthly basis. Each physician submits his or her availability by the 15th of the preceding month and our scheduling department completes the next month's schedule by the 25th of each month.
