Founded by a physician, John S. Martin, MD, and currently headed by his son John S. Martin, III, our business has expanded to adapt to the ever-changing field of healthcare. As one of the nation's first and largest providers of house staff, we have been working with healthcare facilities for more than twenty-five years customizing programs for various services. We were a pioneer in emergency department staffing and management in the early seventies, and we expanded that focus in the eighties to include house staff programs in various fields. Today we hold staffing contracts in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General and Cardiothoracic Surgery, Pre-Admission Testing Centers and Urgent Care Centers. Our most recent expansion led way to hospitalist practices and a management services organization. We have invested in extensive information systems to assist in the ongoing compliance effort of our multi-specialty and single specialty practices. Our long-term relationships with numerous hospitals and healthcare facilities provide proof of our commitment to quality programs for our clients. More than 400 physicians practice with us in varying capacities. This provides a pipeline to quality physicians in many fields.
